August 15, 2006 - Telluride from the top, Colorado
the view from the top of Bridal Veil falls.Coming down from the trail, got caught in a thunderstorm, coming down finally awfully cold, drenched to the bone in cold rain..only the camera found some protection :) I guess the clouds here should've given some warning !
thanks all!George, not a bad hike at all, except it's at 8000+ ft elevation, so a bit acclimatization req. and yes, like Ginger, you can make most of it in a off-road vehicle. it's a beautiful place..I was hoping it will clear up soon enuf and give me a rainbow , but no..:)
Gosh, it is gorgeous! Love the flowers as an accent. I have done that in the olden days. Everytime my oldest daughter and I hiked anywhere in the Carolina mtns, it poured rain! My old trusty Nikon made it through. I don't know how I did. Fantastic scene! ginger. I think I have been in that area, but am not sure. (where you were, but I was not hiking, smile. My brother had an off road vehicle.)
