'REFRACTIONS OF LIFE' by Ajay Rawal
Wayward bends of light
Weave magic perfect
Layered hues of gold
Glistening drops of life
Of life lived up-close
Mere water and light,
Or beauty eternal
Indeed, a joy forever!
January 18, 2012 - The white bridge at Magnolia Plantations, Charleston, SC - Remembering Ginger Jones I have never been to Charleston, South Carolina before this past weekend. Yet, I saw these places, esp the Magnolia plantation and Gardens with a sense of deja vu. I have seen these places thru the eyes of Ginger . I even have a photograph of this very bridge hanging on my walls over the last few years. Ginger was a wonderful person, a daily photo community member and photographer back in 2006-07 when we were about 10-15 members. She would post daily pictures from Charleston, and her favorite Magnolia plantations 'for our pleasure', almost until the very end. She died in May 2007 of a rare and unexpected illness. I never met Ginger, but photography brought us close. As I walked thru Magnolia plantations, I could almost see Ginger in the shadows, shooting, smiling, chatting up the birds. I will always miss her. May her soul rest in peace and may her photographs live forever. I hope you get to see some of her photos thru my links here. PS: I used pixel bender for the first time here
