Vandana > August 30, 2006 - another Kestrel?! so every alternate day photograph now is a Kestrel shot; but I'm hoping there's some improvement with each ? I did get a 'yellowleg' - greater or lesser, but just isn't colorful enuf :) got a bad heron bif too :(
Vandana > August 29, 2006 - 'lady on green' and then it flew away ! I didn't even know lady bugs could fly !! I wasn't prepared for a 'bug in flight' shot :))! the sun also set today, but I thought that's so June :)!
Vandana > August 28, 2006 - 'The Kestrel pursuit' - It stopped on a wire, I stopped,took out camera, it flew the next second..we did this for about half and hour at least..maybe more, I lost count.. maybe I tired him out :) so he stopped for about 30sec !! not close, this is with 400+2xTC !! closest I have gotten so far ! very exciting :) Good rain early this morning for this - not enuf time for drop relfections!
Vandana > August 27, 2006 - 'Burrowing owl' in some late evening light; I don't think I've cropped the feet - there's a leaf just there ( hoping :))and handheld 300+TC @ 1/40s - quite proud of that ! Colorado was a little updated ..and some wierd lightning inside of a cloud happened tonight
Vandana > August 26, 2006 - American kestrel Not the best shot, but at least A shot !!400mm clearly not enuf, will need +TC..still takes off at anything nearer.. a trip to the Zoo and gosh, I see tortoises doing it..and I chicken out of putting it in dailies :))
Vandana > August 25, 2006 - Road to nowhere.. tried my hand at kestreling again, but lost to light and the flighty bird..I'll need to fly with the Kestrel for a shot, I think..the rough roads taken looking for kestrels !
Vandana > August 24, 2006 - 'Western Kingbird' ah, one of those days, ask me why my ISO was 640 in decent light and I don't have an answer :( unchanged from last night ! I've been trying for some time to get a decent American Kestrel picture; such a beautiful bird, but can't sit for one minute..ran after a few with no shots..my solace - the Kingbird ..
