September 10, 2006 - Egret take-off
So maybe we have One egret :) but I got him taking off. I've always found egret exposure a little tough, this maybe my decentest so far. I'm hoping it will actually show up sometime. It's still 'in queue' in my log ! and 35 minutes later, nothing yet !so 40min record time for upload to show !

on September 12, 2006thanks all ! i know, its near monochromatic, but I'll keep it this way, "to show off that technical skill of a white bird shot:-)" :))

on September 11, 2006I agree with the others on the color issues, nonetheless this is a great shot, including the little splash in the water showing the take off is about to happen!

on September 11, 2006And here he is!!! I was up waiting for the queue thing, too last night. I hope they fix it soon. I have enough other things going on to keep me from sleeping! nice white. I over exposed some yesterday, and I know better. My histogram lied to me! ginger

on September 11, 2006Great job on the EC..Is decentest a word?:-) Not much color, true, but wouldn't change a thing, need to show off that technical skill of a white bird shot:-)

on September 11, 2006I am agreeing with Sherstone...there isn't much color. Would be interesting to see toned or B/W. Is this a RAW file? What about changing the white balance and warming it up??? Just a thought. It's a magnificent pose...so regal!!!

on September 11, 2006You got the exposure pretty good. Great wings (I wonder if this would be better as monochrome?)
