August 12, 2007 - Happy birthday to me ! Turned 35 !!
Picture by Krishnan a few days back.
I have lots of images from Alaska to process. I might just hold off on dailies for a few days till I finish with them. I will try to catch up on your dailies in the next few days. Thanks for all the comments I have received while I was away..Always appreciated. It was a wonderful trip ! Back to work tomorrowAugust 9, 2007 - McClaren Glacier - view from Denali Highway
Denali Highway ( #8) is a 135mile gravel road from Cantwell to Paxson, AK connecting the Parks Highway to Richardson highway. Very scenic, one of the best kept secrets in alaska.
We also got a glimpse of Denali - the Mountain finally today as the weather cleared up !August 8, 2007 - Arctic ground squirrel in Denali National Park.
Cloudy day, started out with a dense fog; we didn;t get to see Denali - the Mountain at all. Other wildlife seen and photographed included bears, caribou, red fox, big-horned sheep..waiting to be processed.
I just got internet access after quite a few days, so many dailies posted today. Our alaska vacation is coming to a end in the next few days..I'm going to miss all this wildlife, but I'll have photos to process for a month or more..August 6, 2007 - The view from Chandalar Shelf south of Atigun Pass on the Dalton Highway on the way back from Prudhoe bay
Started the day out from the Arctic Caribou Inn with a tour of the oil fields in Prudhoe bay -they said - 'it's all about the oil'
We took a dip in the cold Arctic Ocean and got a Polar bear Club certificate for the same!August 5, 2007 - On the 414mile Dalton Highway from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay and the Arctic Ocean along the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline Almost all of the Dalton Highway is gravel, and Bill Aldrich from Northern Alaska tours drove us to and fro from Fairbanks in a Ford V8.

on March 18, 2009I'm particularly drawn to the shadows of the picnic table. After you've seen thousands of photos you begin to look for the unusual and this is it.
