Jan 20, 2007- hers and his
Drink responsibly !
a day with a feet of snow or more and light tent to the rescue..this was my attempt at capturing glassware, lighting was tough but I got the principle..the bubbles were even tougher :) by the time I set up exposure and all, things fizzled out fast, this was one of the best I got without the beer looking quite pathetic !
and I can't help the champagne glass reflection looking just a little tilted ?!

on January 22, 2007Good details and a nice camera angle. A couple other things to try.. cut a piece of white paper in the shape of the glass and sit it directly behind the drink. It should direct more light into the drink to give it a glowing effect. Also, its messy but if you add a little lily white corn syrup and water into a spray bottle, clean then spray the glass. It will dry hard but still look like water drops. This is pretty messy but adds another dimension to product photography.

on January 22, 2007Well, if you keep drinking the liquid as you go, it will look better and better and bedder and, hiccup, um, wha' were we talkin' about?

on January 21, 2007You know, the Irish have a legend that when you pass on, you will be suspended into avat of all the beer you ever wasted in your life ... and if you drown, then to the devil with you! :)

on January 21, 2007Well, I'm laughing along with everyone too. At first glance, I thought the beer was iced tea too...the champagne was really cool...especially after you pointed out the bubbles. Here's a thought for the next drink...a Shirley Temple..(am I showing my age?) Gingerale, cherry and either cherry juice or grenadine (?) red juice...lots of bubbles and colors to boot. I think you're doing just great with the tent...wish I had one to use to get those wonderful lightings on objects...

on January 21, 2007:))I have better looking beer but then the champagne looks like water, LOL..it was quite hilarious..I thought ice might make bubbles and fizz look better ;),but of course not, then tried some club soda - the beer turned up not only looking pathetic, but tasting too, ha,ha ! but ok, I at least got the lighting somewhat right :) thanks !it's my first glass shot !I even smug-searched for these sortof shots to see what people do :) but not much! I'll get better :)
