June 17, 2008 - Hoffstadt Creek Bridge on the way to Mount St. Helens, Oregon
There was a thunderstorm when we reached St.Helens, so we didn't really get many pictures there. It was really that wet and green tho !
thank you all for all the comments on my pics, old and new. it's been very busy playing catch-up now at work, and I will check out all dailies in the next day or two :)

on June 20, 2008Very nice, love the colors and that sky!!
Enjoy the 70-200VR it is a sweet lens, just heavy :)
On the heron shot, the halo around the beak was not intentional. That was from the steroid highlight/shadow method I learned. I was trying to bring the red in his/her eye out. There was actually no sharpening, it the result of the Gaussian blur that gave this. Basically its an overlay blend method in RGB with the green channel.
